Dutch Robinson @ Guilt & Co Thurs March 6th

It wasn't the best of nights, most places in Gastown looked deserted, so I expected Guilt & Company to be the same, but it wasn't. Dutch Robinson and his band were about to start the first of three sets and the cool people in the know did not want to miss out.

Dutch is 68 years old, he's been flexing his 5 octave range for over 40 years, first with the Ohio Players and a a solo performer. One of songs even got covered by David Bowie on Diamond Dogs.

We are so-so lucky to have Dutch living in Vancouver; it is so rare to have a real soul man be ready, willing and able to perform in front of a young and very enthusiastic audience.

Guilt & Company remains my favourite live venue in the city NO large screen tv's of any kind, a good psce for the bands to hang out in and very friendly staff.

Let's hope he stays around....
